what do you know about HIV / AIDS
The 2007 WHO/UNAIDS reports AIDS as a leading cause of death in Africa. In sub-Saharan Africa, over 28 million people are supposed to be living with HIV. According to reports, more than 95% of HIV infections are in the developing countries. They also estimate that infection rates are lower in Asia and the Pacific.
The disease is having a major impact on social and economic development. Poverty increases in many countries while households lose one or more breadwinners to AIDS. Both Public services and private companies lose many of their work force due to this epidemic.
